UNIDEE Academy is the finish line of Cittadellarte's educational program, for over 20 years a true world reference point for practices, activated by art, of social transformation: the heart of a worldwide network of innovators, professionals and scholars who form an authentic geography of change.
It wants to give a concrete answer to the needs imposed by the social, economic and environmental changes that are transforming the contemporary world.
UNIDEE's educational program is born in this context of social transformation that evolves between design and art: an international school that deals with training and research in sustainability and responsible innovation's fields.
Through the visionary gaze of its founder, Michelangelo Pistoletto, plans to take part in this challenge and wants to do so through a conscious and innovative academic program.
A program that inspires and draws its Agenda 2030 guidelines of the United Nations and its 17 Goals for Sustainable Development. A natural and perhaps necessary consequence of the results of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG's) that preceded them.
The economic and social evolution of humanity can no longer ignore the effects and consequences that progress entails and the 2030 Agenda intends to address and try to resolve these issues: fighting poverty, contrast to climate change, clean and accessible energy and so on, only to name a few.
"Common goals" means that they concern all countries and all individuals: no one is excluded, nor must it be left behind along the path necessary to bring the world on the road to sustainability.
Transforming society today is no longer a utopia but an increasingly felt necessity by people, companies, institutions and markets, at all levels of society..
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is an action program for people, the planet and prosperity signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member countries. It encloses 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) in a major program of action for a total of 169 targets.
The official start of the Agenda coincided with the beginning of 2016, guiding the world on the road ahead over the next 15 years.
